Eighth Grade Science Expectations
The Martin Luther Science Department has identified basic skills and knowledge that ALL incoming eighth graders should have. Click on the link above to view these expectations.
General Science Exemption Expectations
Eighth grade students have the option to try to demonstrate competency in the area of general science. In May these students can take the General Science Exemption Test. If these students achieve a passing grade, they will take Biology their freshman year. The advantage of taking Biology as a freshman is that these students may take both of the Science Advanced Placement Courses: A.P. Biology as a junior, and A.P. Physics as a senior. Students who test out of General Science are expected to take Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Most should take four years of Science. Click on the link above to view the General Science Exemption expectations. Feel free to email Mr. Kindschi if you have questions.
