Do you ever wish you were more enlightened when it came to Shakespeare’s works? In Martin Luther’s fall drama “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [abridged]”, you can see all of Shakespeare’s plays acted out in one short evening performance, no reading required. The familiar stories of Shakespeare take on new twists and turns in the hands of the Reduced Shakespeare Company. The small troupe of actors not only reduces the stories from hours to minutes, it takes a bit of literary license in the telling of the Bard’s tales. Othello wins Desdemona’s heart, regaling her with his adventures in a rap song. Titus Andronicus is reinvented as a culinary arts show. Featuring a collection of characters and a maze of plots, “The Complete Works” is a fitting (and funny) compilation of the Bard’s amazing histories, comedies, and tragedies.
