Guidance, Counseling and Support Programs

Guidance and counseling services are an integral and important aspect of assisting students in reaching their full potential as well rounded individuals. The Guidance Office is staffed by three counselors under the supervision of the Assistant Principal for Academic Services. Services provided by the Guidance staff include but are not limited to the following areas.

The Office of Student Services (OSS) provides the following services with Christian care and concern to students and parents:

    1. Academic Assistance 
        -- from counselors 
        -- from peer tutors 
        -- from the Resource Study Hall
        -- from adult tutors

    2. Career Exploration helps students explore almost 20 occupations. Workers in various occupations visit to share information to empower students to make better decisions concerning their career choices.

    3. Personal problem solving with counselors.

    4. Computerized College Search & Career Aptitude software provides students with updated information on colleges and careers.

    5. College Planning Night answers questions students and parents have about successfully applying for college admissions and financial aid.

    6. Crisis Counseling offers students with significant challenges the Christian support they need.

    7. Continuous Review of future goals, academics, and college career plans.

    8. Transcripts for colleges and employment.
