Martin Luther High School
We are rooted in the rich tradition of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Early Lutheran settlements in America often built schools before they built churches. Martin Luther, our namesake, is considered by many to be the "father of Christian education".
The first Lutheran high school in the nation was founded in Milwaukee in 1903. Today, the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee owns and operates Martin Luther, Milwaukee Lutheran and Lake Country Lutheran high schools with the support of over fifty Missouri Synod Lutheran churches.
While Martin Luther is a distinctly Lutheran high school (approximately 85% of the students are Lutheran), students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome. Please check out all of the other pages of this section of our website in order to learn more specific information about who we are and what we do.
