Student Emergency Fund

Posted by Andrew Braun on May 4, 2020 5:45:07 PM

Over 30 million Americans lost their job in the past 6 weeks due to COVID-19 with more than 3.9 million filing for unemployment. We understand some of these numbers are faces of people in our LHSAGM family. Our relationships with our families are important so we have implemented a plan to help those affected by a job loss or decrease in income.

We are grateful to announce that the LHSAGM Foundation has launched a Student Emergency Fund. This fund will give tuition relief to current and new LHSAGM families who are significantly affected by COVID-19 for the 2020-21 school year.

If you are a family in need of emergency funds, please reach out to your admissions director to start a conversation.

If you are blessed to be in a position to help, please prayerfully consider donating to the Student Emergency Fund today. You will directly help families in need.

Regardless of your situation, please continue to keep us and those significantly affected in your prayers as we rely on our Christian community to come through this together.

Sincerely,

Cole Braun, CEO

Common Questions

What financial situations are you considering for the Emergency Funds?

Families who permanently lost jobs or lost a significant part of their steady income are the priority for considerations. We boldly ask families consider if they are in an emergency situation before applying. Families that are uncertain about their financial situation should wait on applying for Emergency Funds until there is certainty.

Is there a deadline?

There is no deadline to apply. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Are Student Emergency Funds different than financial aid awards?

Student Emergency Funds are one-year awards applied to the 2020-21 tuition payments. Unlike financial aid awards, these funds do not roll-over to the following school year. We hope the student emergency fund can act as a bridge during these hard times.
