A note from your ML Choice Coordinator:
In order to serve our Spartan Families better, we have a specific process to follow to complete your Choice verification. For ease for our families, you can complete the entire process online. Please follow the steps below and click on the big yellow button below for Choice Handbook Acknowledgement. Reading the handbook will help you to better understand the Choice program at Martin Luther High School. It will then prompt you to upload the required items, including proof of residency and income (even if it is not required by DPI, we do require proof of income for all new students). All of this can be done from your smartphone or on a computer. We look forward to meeting you!
STEP 1: Collect your financial and residency documents. The best options are your 2022 Federal Tax Return or your 2022 W-2 forms. Your WE-Energies bill is your ideal proof of residency.
STEP 2: Apply for your Choice Seat using the options below.
STEP 3: To get started, click here or click on the big yellow button below. In this step, the online form will require all parents to read and acknowledge receipt of the Choice Handbook. New and returning students must submit proof of residency documents. New students may also be prompted to schedule an appointment to verify the documents in person at the school.
At Martin Luther High School, income documents are required of all new families and returning Gap 220 families looking to participate in the Choice Program. Students in grades 9 to 12 whose family income exceeds 2.2 times the applicable poverty level will be charged the difference between Martin Luther High School's tuition and the choice voucher (referred to as the Gap 220 tuition). Using the submitted income documents, Martin Luther High School may award Gap 220 families with an immediate financial aid award that further reduces their tuition owed. Gap 220 families also have the option to apply for additional financial aid or tuition discounts.
STEP 4: If you have made it to step 4, you have completed the first steps toward creating a financial plan to attend Martin Luther. Please wait to hear from your Choice Coordinators on whether or not you receive a Choice seat at Martin Luther. Take this time to make sure you have also followed the process to be academically accepted. Click here to see the steps for academic acceptance.
