What does ML offer international students?

As one of the top Midwest Christian high schools, Martin Luther High School offers 26 college credit courses and 55 elective courses that accelerate students to achieve their future goals. Martin Luther was founded in 1968 near the Great Lakes in Greendale, Wisconsin (1.5 hours North of Chicago). We are a 9-12th grade boarding and day school with nearly 700 students. 90% of the students are domestic, and 10% are international. Graduating from Martin Luther means being prepared not just for college or careers but for the world.

What is the admissions process?

International students who wish to attend Martin Luther must complete the Application, submit official transcripts, and schedule a virtual interview.

No English language test is required. The TOEFL, ITEP, or the IELTS are all accepted tests. We only require an interview with our English Language Specialist.

Mr. Seth Bahr is the Director of World Cultures. Mr. Bahr will help you and your family with the application to LCL, securing a J1 or F1 Visa, travel, and anything you need until your first day of school.

Do you accept international students in the Spring Semester?

Students are accepted before July 1st to begin the first semester of the school year in mid-August. Students are accepted before November 1st to begin the second semester of the school year in January. Students are encouraged to consider their career academic goals at an institution of higher learning beyond high school and to achieve the necessary credits to receive a diploma from our school.

Where can I stay?

At Martin Luther, students live in University-style suites in a premier dormitory on a 26-acre campus. The beautiful new dormitory (completed in August 2020) is located directly on ML’s campus, which provides easy access to everything the campus has to offer. Students are a few minutes’ walk to 50+ restaurants and shopping areas and the scenic nature walk on the Root River Parkway. Living on campus makes it easy to participate in extra-curricular activities, take cultural excursions, and build relationships with other students.

Students also have the option to live with a host family, but the school has a limited number of host families available.

Do you have a virtual tour of the school?
